Can you believe it’s already almost back to school time?! As a mama about to put her first baby on the bus in a few short weeks, I’m in disbelief.
After the year (and a half?!) we’ve all had I know most mamas want to make back to school extra special. If you’re a mama sending your first baby off like me, we’re not overlooking any sweet detail to make school exciting are we?
Since Amelia was small I always loved the idea of lunch box notes to spread a little smile on their face when they sit down to eat. A sweet little love note from someone who loves them found when the open their lunch box (can we also talk about how CUTE this SoYoung Neo Rainbow Lunch Box I got for Millie is).
If you’re still trying to wrap your head around what you need to even buy for back to school, don’t worry mama – I’ve got you covered. Check out the post Litterless Lunch Essentials and the best part about these Lunch Box Notes is they are PRINTABLE so you can leave that part to the 11th hour.
I’m super excited to have collaborated with paperscript, a woman-owned local small business in the Niagara Region that creates beautiful paper products to make even the smallest moments memorable! Carly is a mama of two beautiful little girls who has a love for snail mail (a girl after my own heart) and who gets excited by the look on someone’s face when they see the special details like a handwritten note. Image how heartwarming it will be to see the look on a sweet little one their first day of school!!
Tips & Tricks for Printing the Lunch Box Notes
- You will download a PDF file to be printed and used for personal use. It’s a high resolution file so you’ll get a crisp, clean design and should never be blurry.
- This file is designed to be printed on letter sized paper. Check your print settings to make sure your document is not cut off. Selecting the proper orientation and scaling to fit will support this.
- To maintain the quality and resolution of the document, ensure you are downloading it as a file (ideally onto a desktop computer) and do not screen shot the file.
- Print at home, send to a local print shop or use an online print service such as Beatties, Staples or Costco. If you’d like to be able to reuse your lunch box notes again and again you can also laminate after printing and use a marker to write your love notes to your littles.
In total it cost me about $2.50 to print and laminate the file giving me six reusable love notes! Cost effective and environmentally conscious!
If you choose to laminate these lunch box love notes you can purchase a Sharpie water-based paint marker to personalize each day.
