If you’ve been following Simple & Sage for awhile you’ll know that choosing Canadian clothing brands wherever I can is important to me. For me, supporting brands that choose sustainable & ethical materials is a small way to reduce the harmful impact of fast fashion on the environment and the lives of garment workers.
What makes me SO excited is that THIS topic is what brings a lot of you here – many of you mothers looking for clothing brands for your kids that you can trust! Music to my ears. Last year I shared 10 Sustainable Kids Clothing Brands and it’s a favorite! Today I’m again rounding up my favourite Canadian clothing brands for kids that not only I love, but so do Amelia & Theo!
Os & Oakes
Os & Oakes, founded by a mama of two and her brother, create high-quality, durable, and modern unisex clothing made from sustainable bamboo and ethically made in London, Ontario.

the kindred studio
The Kindred Studio is the maker of not one but TWO clothing brands for kids. Little & Lively is a line of clothing in colourful, lively prints to let your kids express joy & their personality through their clothes and Pretty Laundry is a line of pajamas and lounge sets. Both lines are ethically made in Canada from bamboo & cotton.
Jax & Lennon
Jax & Lennon Clothing Co., named after two of mama & founder Kelsie’s children, creates a line of clothing for kids that is meant to be lived in and last so pieces can be passed on. I know I have purchased clothing for Amelia that Theo now wears from Jax & Lennon. Pieces are ethically made in Canada using sustainable materials like bamboo & organic cotton.

petit lem
Petit Lem designs everyday essentials from sleepwear to apparel for every stage. Made from sustainable organic cotton their clothing is so soft, durable, and comes in the sweetest prints. I also love the seasonal lines for not only Christmas pajamas (a favourite tradition of ours) but Valentine’s Day and Easter.

mini mioche
Mini Mioche makes simple, comfortable, unisex staples for kids. Think your favourite romper that you pass down from child to child or your favourite t-shirt you buy year after years in a new size. Pieces are ethically & sustainably dyed and made in Canada from start to finish with organic cotton.
