A Boys Bedroom design that will transition as your little guy grows and combines neutral tones with fun, removable decals from urbanwalls.
It feels like just yesterday I was designing a nursery for Theodore and now, here I am, creating a boys bedroom. Not a baby, a BOY! HOW!
If you haven’t been following along on Instagram you might not know that this year we purchased my mother in laws house – the house Arthur was born in. How cool is it that Arthur will get to raise his own children in his childhood home. You know how I am with nostalgia so this, of course, makes me feel ALL the feelings.
The catch is now making it OUR home!! I’m super excited to reveal to your room by room the Our Simple & Sage Home Tour Series. In the coming months check back for new posts about our home renovations (better yet, SUBSCRIBE to the Mandy Said It newsletter to stay up to date)
To kick off this home tour I can’t wait to share with you THE room I’ve been dreaming of for a year. A calm, warm, yet fun space for my growing boy. Let’s get started with some inspiration for a boys bedroom! If you love it drop a comment! I’d love to hear your thoughts.

First up was to paint, of course. The room was originally grey; a nice grey but I wanted to brighten it up with a warm white.

I chose a warm white called Shiplap (WB049-1) from BeautiTone and it was exactly what I wanted! Neutral but warm and a colour I could keep as Theo’s style and likes change.

As much as I love neutrals I love how adventurous my little guy is and I wanted his bedroom to be a space he loved. Right now Theo is really into dinosaurs so when I came across the Paper Dinos decals from Urbanwalls I was sold!!
I loved how simple the design was AND that they were removable so when, inevitably, his interest in dinosaurs makes way for something else I can just peel em off and start fresh.
Alright, are you ready for the results!! The freshly painted walls to brighten the room and the touch of fun that completes this boys bedroom design? Here we go!

What do you think? I’m pretty in love with how it turned out. Looking for the details on the room like? I’ll outline it all here:

- Bedding – H&M Conscious Washed Cotton Duvet Set in Brown
- Tartan Blanket was a family piece from Theodore’s great grandfather
